One of the vital things of being a digital nomad is being able to take your gear anywhere you want comfortably. You don’t want to travel with over ten different bags that can’t fit all your gear. On the other hand, you also don’t want just to throw everything inside a huge bag, and then spending a lot of time trying to find a small object, such as a pen!
Thankfully, there are many workarounds to this issue. Many manufacturers have tried their best to create ergonomic and innovative bags and organizers for digital nomads, and today, we are going to talk about one of these products.
At first glance, the Peak Design Tech Pouch may look like a simple bag to store your things, but it goes way beyond that. This is one of the most well-thought pouches we’ve ever seen! If you’re a digital nomad and are looking for an extra bag to store your digital accessories, keep reading, because the Peak Design Tech Pouch has a lot to say!

While the Peak Design Tech Pouch is a very attractive item to get, keep in mind that it may not be suitable for everyone. Not everyone has the same taste or requirements for storing their digital gear. We’ve compiled a short list that shows who this item may be suitable for. If you feel identified with one of the following sentences, this product may be great for you!
This product is suitable for you if:
- You’re a digital nomad.
- You need a sturdy bag to store some of your digital gear.
- You have issues organizing all your gear in a single bag.
- You already have a bag for your big items (laptop, DSLR, keyboards, etc.), but want a more compact one for smaller items (charger, Bluetooth mouse, external battery, wallet, passport, etc.)
This product is not suitable for you if:
- You need a big bag to store your laptop, DSLR equipment, or other large gear.
- You don’t have a lot of tech items to store.
In essence, this bag is perfect for people who want a secondary bag to store their smaller tech items. It’s not designed to fit items such as laptops, so you might consider getting a separate bag for larger items. If you’re a digital nomad, you likely have a ton of gear; in that case, the Peak Design Tech Pouch does an excellent job organizing everything in a comfortable and compact case!

While a tech pouch can be a simple bag where you can store anything that you want, a good tech pouch goes beyond that. It needs to provide a thought-out design that makes the process of storing your gear easier. In the case of the Peak Design Tech Pouch, it got the design aspect just right!
This tech pouch comes in two colors: Black and sage green. While the color may not be anything special, it’s nice that you have a slight color choice before buying.
As for the pouch’s overall look and shape, we don’t have much to say. It looks great; it isn’t too stylish, but that’s okay. Most people buy a tech case to store their gear comfortably and securely, not to show it off to other people. However, keep in mind that the outside of the bag is just the start; the inside is the one that provides most of the amazing features!
You don’t have to worry about durability; this tech pouch was designed to last a long time. The pouch was created with weatherproof 200D Nylon, one of the most durable fabric materials on the market; it feels amazing and sturdy! Every aspect of the pouch’s design was thoroughly taken care of, providing us with a premium-quality product.
The fabric is not the only thing that’s premium-quality; the Peak Design Tech Pouch comes with weather-resistant Zoom Zippers that feel durable and smooth. The top zipper is the largest one since it covers the main compartment of the pouch. There’s nothing much to say about it, only that it works smoothly!
The bottom zipper gives you access to an external pocket. It works as good as the top zipper, so you don’t have to worry about the zipper snagging. You can find an additional zipper on the inside of the main compartment, and it gives you access to a small pocket to fit small items.
Handles and Attachment Points
This product comes with three handles. While it’s nice to have many handles, it’s unlikely that you are going to use more than one since this pouch can be easily grabbed with one hand. There’s a handle on the front, another on the back, and a third one at the bottom.
We don’t recommend using the bottom handle to carry your pouch since you would be carrying it upside down. On the other hand, keep in mind that these handles are very tight, so it may feel complicated to grab them at first. The handles don’t take up much space in the pouch, so you don’t have to use them if you don’t want to.
This pouch includes strap attachments, which you can use to carry your pouch more efficiently by using the strap. If you have one, we recommend that you try this feature out since it feels more comfortable than the handles.
We’ve arrived at the most attractive part of the Peak Design Tech Pouch! While all the build materials and design are great, the most important thing to do is determine if the pouch actually works at storing your gear, and that’s what we’re going to talk about in this section.
When you open up the main compartment, you’re greeted with 21 pockets; that’s right, 21 pockets! You can store your items in a way that you prefer; it’s highly unlikely that you’re going to run out of space. Either way, we’re going to walk you through all the pockets so that you have a better idea of what you can do with them.
Here are some of the items that you can fit comfortably on the Peak Design Tech Pouch:
- Small notebooks.
- Phone, tablet, or laptop charger.
- Pens or pencils.
- Wireless headphones or earphones.
- Glasses or sunglasses.
- Bluetooth mouse.
- Additional wires.
- External battery.
This is great news if you’re a digital nomad! You can have most of your essential things safely stored and organized in a single pouch, meaning that you can get a separate bag for just your laptop and other large equipment.
Keep in mind that not all pockets are of the same size, and each one is designed to fit smaller or bigger items. For example, the pockets at both ends of the pouch are better suited for small items such as a phone charger, AirPods, cables, watch, etc. On the other hand, the middle pockets have a bit more room to store your laptop charger, external battery, notebook, organizer, and other slightly larger items.
A great thing about the main compartment is that it includes four pen holders. This is amazing if you’re a person who has many pens and is continually losing them. There’s no shame in losing a pen; they are too small! Thankfully, the Peak Design Tech Pouch has you covered with its pen holders.
You can store up to two pens on each side. The holders are pretty tight, so you don’t have to worry about your pens sliding out of their holder. It’s a small feature, but a welcome one.
There’s a small pocket covered by a zipper in the middle of the main compartment. In there, you can store things like SD cards, cards, passport, or cash. Since the pocket is zippered, you don’t have to worry about losing those smaller items.
Last but not least, there’s a pocket on the outside of the bag. This pocket is mainly for storing your smartphone. It’s a considerably tight pocket, so you may not be able to store other things aside from your smartphone. This pocket includes a pass-through port, which allows you to pass your phone charging cable through it. This way, you can charge your phone from within the pouch if you have an external battery. It’s not an essential feature, but it’s a great touch from the company.
Now that you know everything about the Peak Design Tech Pouch, there’s one final question to answer: “Does it actually work?”
While the general answer would be ‘Yes,’ it mostly depends on your needs. Not everyone carries the same stuff on their bags. However, what we can guarantee is that it works as advertised! If you need a pouch to store those smaller items, this is the product for you.
Setting it up is relatively easy; you get the items you want to store on the pouch, and then you organize them depending on your preference. For example, you can store your external battery next to your phone charger, so you don’t have to spend time looking for them when you want to charge your phone. After you spend some time with the pouch, you are going to remember where everything is stored, making it highly unlikely that you’re going to lose an item.
A great thing about this pouch is that you can place it on a desk and use it comfortably since it sits flat on any desk. However, we recommend that you consider your items’ weight before organizing them. If you put many heavy items on one side and lightweight items on the other, it may tilt slightly to the heavy side.
Overall, it feels incredible, it’s easy to use, and it’s durable. If you get the Peak Design Tech Pouch, you don’t have to worry about getting another one in the near future. This pouch has got you covered with almost everything!
