About Nomadific

About Us

Hi! My name is Thomas Kanze and I’ve decided to create Nomadific with the objective for it to be a one stop shop for Digital Nomads.

Before I dive into Nomadific, let me briefly introduce myself to you.

Thomas Kanze

I’ve been travelling a fair bit throughout my life. I’m a half American, half Italian 32 year old. I was born in Germany and lived mostly in France. But I also lived in Germany for a bit (Frankfurt), in Ireland (Dublin) and in Australia (Melbourne).

With my partner we took on a world trip in 2014 and visited over 18 countries in the span of 1 year and a half.

I now live in Puerto Viejo de Talamanca in Costa Rica where I own a coworking space. We moved because we have a 3 year old son and another child coming early 2020 and wanted them to grow up surrounded by nature rather than concrete blocks. I really how you’ll enjoy the website and if you have any suggestions or things you’d like to share, don’t hesitate to shoot me an email. And if you plan on travelling to Costa Rica, come say hello!

And if you’re curious to hear what I sound like, here’s an interview of me.

My goal with Nomadific is to provide a clear structure where anyone could find the information they are looking for.

Looking for information on Thailand? Check! Looking for ways to generate income while travelling? Check!

Nomadific is for people wanting to become digital nomads as well as current digital nomads.

The articles are defined in 4 major categories:

  • Travel
  • Lifestyle
  • Business
  • Planning

Each category has a specific purpose. Let me explain to you what my idea is.

This category is pretty straightforward. In this category you’ll find travel experiences, country guides for digital nomads, tips and more!

This category goes in-depth into what is a digital nomad. We go deeper into the psychology of it and share information as well on how to meet other Digital Nomads, why it’s not only about drinking coconuts by the beach and more!

Earning an income online is the root of being a digital nomad. However there are many ways to do so. You can be your own boss or work remotely for a company. This section will be more geared towards entrepreneurs as we will discuss on the best ways to find clients, how to increase revenue, what is SEO and why it’s important and more!

Buying a plane ticket and leaving is not the smartest idea. There is some planning involved if you want to travel full time. In this section, we’ll cover travel insurance, gear, such as what the best backpacks for digital nomads are and more!

Our Creative Writers

How can I create a website on digital nomadism if I don’t work with digital nomads? The information on this website exists because of our talented writers. They love to travel and have opted for the digital nomad lifestyle. Find out more about who they are here.

Help me make the website better!
